Currently finishing an extensive renovation, Park Plaza Victoria Amsterdam is one of the oldest (1890) modern hotels in the Netherlands. This iconic monument is transforming into a sophisticated, modern gem, nearly ready for the Grand Opening in September.

Main role and objectives:
As Chef de Partie you will be part of the kitchen team in our great restaurant which has a life cooking kitchen and back of house kitchen as well. You will maintain the desired culinary level of the restaurant.


Job role responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef and Sous Chef(s)
  • Contribute to the production in the delegated section of the fantastic life cooking kitchen
  • Coordinate and be responsible for staff in the section
  • Order adequate supplies for own section, and set up mise-en-place
  • Ensure a high level of general knowledge of kitchen services and techniques, all menu items, and specialty items prepared in the kitchen
  • Train and coach junior team members of the delegated section in a systematic, professional and creative way to ensure that the high service standards and product delivery are consistently achieved

What we are looking for:

  • Someone who is a real food lover and has a passion for cooking - likes to create beautiful dishes with a personal touch
  • Interaction with guests (life cooking)
  • Ability to handle stressful situations
  • Good command of English (preferably also Dutch)
  • Experience in the kitchen department (preferably in a hotel)
  • Able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays (flexibility)
