We are looking for an experienced Demi Chef de Partie with endless creativity and passion for the Mediterranean kitchen in a unique restaurant concept in one of Amsterdam’s most coolest hotels and prominent locations: art’otel amsterdam

5&33 restaurant is located proudly on the corner of Prins Hendrikkade & Martelaarsgracht, in one of the most iconic buildings in the heart of Amsterdam across from Central Station. We fuse food, people, art & design to present a uniquely creative environment for art lovers, foodies and socialisers including a famous artist in residence, innovative exhibitions, live DJ Sessions and celebrations for special occasions.

Our people are at the heart of our restaurant & bar concept and our chefs are artisans who design and deliver exceptional dishes inspired by the Mediterranean kitchen, with strong Italian influences. Your responsibilities:

  • To prepare and properly garnish all food orders according to the menu specifications, ensure exceptional plate presentation;
  • Ensure a high level of general knowledge of kitchen services and techniques, all menu items, and speciality items prepared in the kitchen;
  • Ensure that guests receive the levels of service expected of the restaurant by creating an environment where everyone in the team is focused on connecting with our guests;
  • Assist the Chef de Partie in different activities;
  • To contribute to the production in the delegated section of the kitchen;
  • To coordinate and be responsible for staff in the delegated section;
  • To order adequate supplies for own section, and set up mise en place for the delegated section;
  • To actively interact with our guest;
  • Actively engage in your own personal development to benefit the business and improving your personal skills;
  • To train and coach the junior team members in a professional and creative way to ensure that service standards are consistently achieved.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience in the restaurant industry as a Demi Chef de Partie;
  • Energy, enthusiasm and creativity;
  • A strong network within the Amsterdam hospitality and restaurant scene;
  • The ability to inspire teams to excel in creating the ultimate guest experience;
  • A passion for art, culture and lifestyle.
